This guide is designed to assist patrons who have accessibility requirements to enjoy their visit.

North Lincolnshire Council is committed to making sure everyone can enjoy events at the venues we manage by making reasonable adjustments to remove and / or mitigate the barriers which Deaf and disabled people may face.  

This document sets out North Lincolnshire Council’s policy on accessibility for guests at The Baths Hall and Plowright Theatre.

It recognises our responsibility to anticipate and make reasonable adjustments; to make clear who is responsible for implementation of this policy; and outline the procedure for dealing with concerns and complaints in relation to breaches of this policy.

This policy should be considered alongside other North Lincolnshire Council policies, such as those dealing with Customer Concerns.

Venue Facilities

The Baths Hall and the Plowright Theatre provide the following facilities to assist with access requirements:

  • Step free access/ramp to front door
  • A hearing loop system in the Box Office and the Auditorium  
  • A box office window with a lowered counter
  • Concession, Merchandise, Bar stands with lowered counters
  • Designated seating areas within the venue for wheelchair users, or those with walking difficulties, and their companions
  • Accessible toilets
  • and, step free access to row C of the balcony at The Baths Hall

Both venues have limited blue badge / accessible parking spaces on the public highway at the side of building. We also welcome assistance dogs

Booking Tickets

Accessible tickets can be purchased from the Box Office team in person at the Box Office.

We advise customers to share their access requirements and any other information that may help the team book suitable seats within the Theatre at the time of booking.

All tickets are subject to a facility fee per ticket, plus booking fee.

Free Tickets for Personal Assistants

Where a disabled patron requires a companion to attend then the combined total cost for patron and companion will be equivalent to the full price of one ticket.

Concerns or Complaints
