River of Talent 2027 - Celebrating Diversity. Inspiring Unity. Building Community.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of culture, community and celebration as the Indian Cultural Association North Lincolnshire (ICANL), in proud partnership with Scunthorpe Theatres, presents the return of River of Talent 2027.

Following the outstanding success of its inaugural event in January 2026, this spectacular multicultural celebration returns to bring together communities from across North Lincolnshire for a vibrant evening of entertainment, cultural exchange and community spirit. The 2026 event welcomed an audience of more than 400 people and featured over 100 performers across 20 colourful music and dance performances representing a wide range of cultures. The evening also celebrated six recipients of the Excellence Awards, recognising outstanding contributions to the local community, and raised £1,000 for the Health Tree Foundation, the official charity of Scunthorpe General Hospital.

River of Talent 2027 promises another inspiring six -hour celebration showcasing the rich cultural diversity of our region through colourful performances, delicious Indian cuisine and opportunities for people from all backgrounds to come together, network, socialise and celebrate. The evening will once again feature the prestigious Excellence Awards, honouring individuals and organisations who have made an exceptional contribution to community service, charitable work and social impact. The event provides a welcoming environment where guests can build new friendships, strengthen community connections and experience the richness of the many cultures that make North Lincolnshire such a vibrant place to live.

River of Talent 2027 is proudly being delivered with the support of North Lincolnshire Council, Cultural Futures, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and our valued sponsors, reflecting a shared commitment to celebrating diversity, strengthening communities, promoting cultural understanding, and creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds to come together. ICANL warmly welcomes sponsorship from local businesses and organisations wishing to support this unique community event.

Sponsorship provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion and community engagement while helping to make this celebration possible. As part of its ongoing commitment to giving back, ICANL will also make donations to local charities from the funds raised through sponsorship. The Indian Cultural Association North Lincolnshire (ICANL) is a community organisation based in Scunthorpe, dedicated to promoting cultural harmony and creating inclusive opportunities for people of all backgrounds.

Through events such as River of Talent, ICANL aims to foster unity, inspire young people, celebrate diversity and strengthen a lasting sense of belonging within the local community. “The project has been made possible with the support of North Lincolnshire Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Cultural Futures, a multi-year initiative to increase arts, heritage and cultural opportunities for North Lincolnshire.”
