Adult Taiko

These community sessions are a great opportunity for adults to learn the skill of Taiko.

Taiko is Japanese style ensemble drumming which incorporates drumming patterns, choreographed movements and energy shouts to create powerful and exciting performances. These fun interactive community sessions are open to beginners, although any experienced Taiko players are also welcome.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a drink. Different abilities, injuries etc can be catered for - please let us know in advance where possible.

Sessions run every Monday during term time. From 7.00pm to 8.00pm will be Taiko skills and drills for all ability levels, learning and rehearsing standard repertoire, with regular opportunities to perform at events. From 8.00pm to 8.45pm, more experienced players can then stay on to work on advanced material at a faster pace following on from the usual session.

The next term runs from Monday 15 September - Monday 20 October and will be £30 for the term.
