Adult Acting

Are you an aspiring actor? Are you already a member of an existing drama society but wish to brush up on your technique in preparation for your next show? Are you someone who always wanted to learn how to act but just been too afraid to take that leap? If so, then we have just the thing for you.

Scunthorpe Theatres in association with Acting Lincs present these classes covering all aspects of acting technique.

Acting Lincs is run by Lee Waddingham, who has 29 years professional experience working with Oscar, BAFTA and Olivier award winners. Lee will take you through the basics of acting; including breathing, voice technique, stagecraft, movement, emotion memory, improvisation and scripted work. The classes will have a huge emphasis on fun within a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere where your are encouraged to make mistakes so that we can learn from them.

In 2024, our acting participants performed in their very first live showcase at The Plowright Theatre and there are even more exciting projects lined up for 2025. Come join us!

The sessions run every Tuesday from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.
