Acting Lincs presents THE NEXT STAGE directed by Lee Waddingham

Performance Date - Wednesday 18th November (Please note that attendance is compulsory on 16th & 17th November at the Plowright Theatre for Tech & Dress Rehearsal)

This autumn, Acting Lincs invites you to take THE NEXT STAGE. A brand-new 10-week drama programme culminating in a spectacular showcase performance at the Plowright Theatre, bringing together actors from our Grimsby and Scunthorpe hobbyist groups.

Throughout the 10 weeks, actors will explore the craft of character building using recognised and proven techniques including hot seating, free writing, improvisation and character development exercises. They'll discover how their characters think, feel and behave, before exploring how those choices translate into physical performance through movement, interaction and ensemble work.

We'll also put a strong focus on voice, listening, timing and stage presence, helping actors develop the skills and confidence needed to deliver compelling performances in front of a live audience. Along the way, we'll welcome guest industry professionals who will share their expertise, challenge our actors and help bring out the very best in their performances.

And then comes the moment you have all been working towards... THE NEXT STAGE - LIVE AT THE PLOWRIGHT THEATRE A vibrant showcase of music, comedy and drama.
